quite informative. no real duff gen in it either. a couple of glitches for the serious military historian, like confusing the capabilites of the M1 carbine and the M1 Garand but by and large worth a watch. the Arnhem episode is cracking

I`ve seen his progs advertised when scanning the SKY listings and didn`t really think to look, but if he`s that good I`ll have a shufti at the next one.

Despite his normal day job, Al Murray is clearly passionatly interested in WW2 history, which comes across in this series. I should think he is more than happy to spend his life talking to veterans and crawling over battlefields, may be that's why his wife has sacked him?
