Interesting question though...
I've had an iPhone for a decade nearly now because it works and it is consistent. The Android phones I used to managed changed every month and were hellish inconsistent making my life difficult. The iPhone was constant.
Now, with all the privacy concerns I'm probably going to look at a Linux phone which is based on open source software written by kids who don't want to be followed around by big tech/

With the USA plummeting towards a civil war any phone my family has will probably get lobbed out of the window anyway... I have more secure comms available should I need them.
