PTI was always a trade in it's own right. No cross-contamination with the Regiment. II Sqn. had a couple of PJI's attached but they were PTI's first/JI's second. The ones we had when I was there were good lads. Most were heavily into boxing and did well for the Sqn. team.
What happens now might be different but PJI's are Jump Instructors. No reason for them to be on a non-para unit. I don't know if other Sqns had PTI's attached - I don't think they did - no reason for it really.

No blue all PTI's are from the RAF but you never know in the future the Corps might have it's own Clerks, Storemen, Chefs and PTI's but i doubt it as it has taken us 68 years to get the rank of Lance Corporal!!
