I see that Israel and the West Bankers have kicked off again. Takes me back to the week of the 6th of June 1966 when as a very young member of the Royal Engineers I and my unit were taken to a tented camp at Chesil Beach near Waymouth where we were placed on standby for the first war between Israel and Egypt.
There were Russian Warships out in the Channel being shadowed by the RN. It really looked to me that it was going to be on. Thank goodness it ended so soon and we never got to find out what a balls up or great war it could have been for the world
. Lets hope this latest madness passes soon.
