Hiya gents. New to the board, although a long standing member of e-goat and Arrse. Did 31 years in a blue suit, five of them at Catterick in the "good old days"

Hope you can put up with another guin on your site?

Cheers DKH

Hiya Johno, sorry for the delay in replying. Was there 78 - 83. Spent a couple of years in the ACTS BCTS store doing kitting, worked R&D when we received the CVRTs, and moved everything down to Hullavington for II Sqn, 43 40 foot containers from Freightliners, and my Sqn Ldr was the one who got the free lunch out of it.

When were you there?

Plus, if anyone out there did Lincoln Castle Military Tattoo or Skegness Town Show in the late 80s, you owe me a beer.

My boss at the CIO wanted everybody in service accommodation, however, I fought to get everyone on rates, and won.

Aaah, the good old days.

Where were you when I needed you?

Yeah, we must have met if you moved II from Catterick to Hullavington. Funny, you just made me think. I married my first wife in Richmond and moved down to Hullavington pretty much directly - my first quarter was Hullavington.

The MTO at Catterick was adamant that the old four wheeler radio shack was not fit to be towed down to Hullavington, hence the boys came back and moved it on a Saturday knowing he would be nowhere near.

Are you saying he never noticed that it arrived, miraculously, in Wiltshire?
