Just wondering if anyone has any pointers for the swimming. Not a very good swimmer and worrying about about failing the swimming

Very good Ginge  Not a very good swimmer but from what you say you can swim. The answer is simple - learn to swim better!

Most of swimming is actually confidence in the water. Get to the local pool every day or two as your schedule allows. Take with you a belt that you don't mind getting wet, a yard of cord and a flotation device, (we'll call it your rubber duck). When your trunks are on put the belt on. Tie one end of the cord to the belt and the other end to the rubber duck and walk down to the deep end of the pool. Beat the shit out of any cunt that laughs at you. Jump in the deep end without holding onto the rubber duck, (it'll follow you or you'll trip over it if you're a clumsy fucker - either way you'll end up in the water). Swim to the other side using your best stroke and then back to the middle of the pool. Check your watch and start treading water. Keep treading water until you are about to drown, grab your rubber duck and check your watch. Escort your rubber duck to the side of the pool and get out without using the steps.
Keep doing that until you can tread water for five minutes without the urge to hug duckie then start jumping in the pool and swimming the long way down the pool and all the way back to the deep end and repeat the treading water bit. At any time you like you may leave duckie on the side of the pool and continue without him.
Don't laugh, do it.
